Pre-purchase inspection FAQ
How much does a pre-purchase inspection cost?
From $170 for most passenger cars in Adelaide metro. Larger 4WDs, European cars, and locations far from the CBD may be slightly higher — we'll confirm before booking.
How long does it take?
Usually 60–90 minutes on-site. The written report is normally with you the same day.
Do I need to be there?
No. Many of our customers are interstate or busy at work. We can inspect, report back, and you decide. If you can be there, you'll get the explanation in person.
Do you do inspections at car yards / dealers?
Yes. Most yards allow this — call ahead to arrange. Some smaller yards push back; if a seller refuses an independent inspection, that's already a strong signal.
Can you check Japanese imports / European cars?
Yes. We have dealership experience across Toyota, Mazda, Honda, Nissan, Subaru, VW, Audi, BMW, Mercedes, and most other makes — plus the scan tool coverage to read manufacturer-specific systems.
What if you find a major problem?
You get the facts. We'll tell you what it'll cost to fix and whether it's a deal-breaker. We don't pressure you to walk or to buy — that's your call.
